Devang Shah makes experimental soul music. Devang grew up in New York, listening to dancehall, Hindi film classics, Gujarati music, Hendrix, and noise music, often all in the same night. He was trained in tabla in India, and drumset and saxophone in New York.

Devang has previously recorded with TV on the Radio ("Let the Devil In"), Cassettes Wont Listen (“Catch Up”), and Massive Attack (upcoming).

Devang was a founding member of Dragons of Zynth. Devang played drums, co-wrote, and/or co-produced on the majority of their freshman LP, Coronation Thieves. The album was recorded alongside TV on the Radio during the Return to Cookie Mountain sessions, and was co-produced by David Sitek.

After playing with Dragons of Zynth for 2 years, and playing drums with Cassettes Wont Listen for a few seasons, Devang has begun his journey as a solo artist. Making Babies in Space (upcoming, Fall 2009, Dope Lotus Records) will be his first official solo recording.
